Stewardship & Education – Hikers Tour the Hundred Acre Wood

April 24, 2017 by Todd Elsworth 2 Comments

We were delighted at the turnout that we had for our local Parks RX Day celebration in Fairhaven Park and the opportunity to share our stewardship and education work with an engaged audience.

With the help of Robert Mittendorf and his leading Bellingham Herald article, See why they call it the Hundred Acre Wood (4/21/17), we had 70 people come out and enjoy a walk in the park and what I enjoying referring to as Trail Talk with Todd. We rounded out the talk with April giving an overview of our new Parkscriptions program.

To put the proverbial icing on the cake, Robert also joined us and wrote a story about our walk and made an insightful video about our stewardship and education work: Hikers tour Hundred Acre Wood with Parkscriptions program (4/23/17). Recreation Northwest thanks Robert and the Herald for the coverage and applauds those who came out to join us for a walk in the woods.

Looking for the Hundred Acre Woods trails map, but unable to find it. Was mentioned in the Herald article.

    Thank you,
    Bunny
