August Dose of Parkscriptions Inspiration

August 27, 2020 by Elizabeth Nelson

We have been quiet on our Dose of Parkscriptions Inspirations during the last few months. Like many of you, we have been determining our best approach on how to provide the best services and programs to our community that aligns with recreating responsibly during this pandemic.  We have some exciting plans and opportunities in the works and we can’t wait to share those with you as they become reality.

Park Highlight

We have the pleasure of working with two wonderful interns, Nick Fasano and Natalie Roberts, from the WWU Recreation Department. They have been hard at work developing a Nature Health Navigator Tour introducing participants to Sehome Arboretum and using your senses to benefit from time in nature. We are excited about this opportunity and will have more information soon – keep an eye out for more details.

In the meantime, we have developed a fun and COVID safe activity to introduce the public to Sehome Arboretum and Parkscriptions through a Sense-ational Rock Hunt. Find a hand-painted rock hidden in the arboretum, take a picture of it email it to Elizabeth@Parkscriptions.org for a chance to enter a drawing! Check out the below graphic for more information or follow our Instagram @Parkscriptions to stay updated.
